India become Independence on 15th August 1947

India is going to celebrate the 75th year of Independence on Monday, 15th August.

The trading in the stock market started in the year 1855 in India.

Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) was the first ever stock exchange in Asia, established in 1875.

The Government of India officially recognized BSE under the Securities Contract Regulation Act in 1957.

Unit Trust of India (UTI) was the first mutual fund formed by The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) along with the Government of India in 1963.

Reliance Industries came up with an initial public offering (IPO) in the year 1977.

Reliance Industries is the largest company in India with a market capitalization of Rs 17.5 lakh crore.

Reliance had issued its first equity shares of Rs 10 each in its first equity sale to the public investors in November 1977.

S&P BSE Sensex was formed in 1986
